Cinacalcet is a prescription drug that is primarily used to balance unrealistically high parathyroid hormone (PTH), calcium, and phosphorus levels in the body. It is called a calcimimetic and that is, it imitates calcium in the body and aids in PTH features. Cinacalcet is also prescribed to individuals with chronic kidney disease or some parathyroid issues.
