The wisdom teeth, often referred to as third molars, are the last permanent teeth to emerge in the mouth. These teeth usually begin to erupt between the ages of 17 and 25. For some people, wisdom teeth never erupt. Some people, like those whose other molars naturally erupted, do not have any problems when their wisdom teeth do so.
